A varied and entertaining evening celebrating wine in French opera.
Wine has always flowed freely in music, intoxicating singers and audiences alike. Choirs and small vocal ensembles alternate to lively, spirited music, brought to life by staging filled with joie de vivre, energy and good humour.
Through some of the most intoxicating pieces in the repertoire, we rediscover several of France's great composers: Louis Varney, Charles Gounod, Robert Planquette, Adolphe Adam, Edmond Audran, Charles Lecoq and, of course, the incomparable Jacques Offenbach!
This selection of light-hearted and lively pieces offers plenty of opportunities for entertainment, laughter and gentle mockery. A show to enjoy without moderation!
