The exhibition "Portraits of Archaeologists, Faces of Archaeology", presented at the Megalith Interpretation Centre in Murat-sur-Vèbre, invites visitors to discover the profession of archaeologist through 13 evocative black-and-white portraits.

The Megalith Interpretation Centre in Murat-sur-Vèbre presents the exhibition "Portraits of Archaeologists, Faces of Archaeology", created by the Tarn Departmental Archaeology Council (CDAT).

This intimate exhibition invites visitors to meet the women and men who shape archaeology today.

Through 13 black-and-white photographic portraits, visitors discover the diversity of backgrounds, specialities and experiences that make up this discipline. Each archaeologist shares their vision of the profession, their passions, their discoveries and the challenges of their work.

To enhance the visit, audio guides allow visitors to listen to the testimonies of the featured archaeologists. These accounts provide a personal and engaging insight into archaeology while highlighting the wide range of professions involved in studying and preserving our heritage.

At the end of the exhibition, a guessing game invites children and adults alike to identify the archaeologists using clues gathered throughout the exhibition and the recorded testimonies. This fun activity extends the experience while putting visitors' observation skills to the test.

The visit lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the time spent listening to the recordings and taking part in the game.
