34330 Cambon-et-Salvergues
Saint Martin du Froid chapel
Located in the commune of Cambon, on the Espinouse plateau at an altitude of 1064 m, the chapel overlooks the Airette lake, the Orb and Jaur valleys, offering a spectacular view all the way to the Mediterranean.

It can be reached from Salvergues via the hamlet of La Calmette, the forest ridge road, and the Saint-Martin path through the Crouzet forest.
Built very early in this location, the chapel likely served as a landmark and refuge in winter, during snow or fog. It has long been the object of popular devotion: tombs attest to the age of the cult and its connection to the dead. A Merovingian sarcophagus was found there.
