This beautiful, highly renowned river, which descends to the west of Lacaune-les-Bains, is very easy to access, especially from Gijounet to Vabre. The Gijou maintains a very natural flow and course, in a pleasant wooded environment. Its magnificent trout explain the influx of fishermen. It is also the subject of a Natura 2000 contract, thus recognizing its faunal and floral richness.
