The Gijou has its source in Lembas (Lacaune-les-Bains).

From Lacaune, the Gijou is easy to access as it is constantly bordered by the D81 road. It then flows through a zone where the valley is narrow, steep, rocky, and deserted. The ideal fishing is offered between Gijounet, Viane, and Lacaze.
Fishing technique: toc fishing and fly fishing are the most practiced, but all techniques remain possible. Here, the management has been patrimonial for many years.
